In the many years of working through various management styles, company cultures, and business practices Mr. Hobson developed strong opinions about how

get a customer to pay rather than whether or not their customers actually received satisfactory results. Conversations observed in management meetings proved
that training was driven at increasing sales and not at teaching reps how to consult with customers on the full range of online advertising options. Small companies,
the Craigslist freelancers included, generally have no high level business knowledge, have a very limited set of capabilities, and usually are inconsistent performers.
This market situation presented business owners with a poor selection of solutions for online marketing.
Realizing that small to mid–sized businesses had no reliable, professional, cost effective options for their marketing needs was what prompted us to
move forward. Many businesses relied on the brother–in–law approach (i.e., freelancers) where results were not professional, never completed on time, and
subsequent projects lacked continuity of design. Other businesses bit the bullet and hired very expensive firms (i.e., the phone company), resulting in being locked-in

Mr. Hobson launched his concept, marketed under the trade name Get Real Sales & Marketing Consulting Services. The company later changed it's name
to E–Platform Marketing to reflect the company's shift from traditional marketing to Internet marketing services.
